INDO-SKYTHIANS. Maues, circa 125-85 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 27 mm, 9.70 g, 11 h), Indian standard. BAΣIΛEΩΣ BAΣIΛEΩΣ MEΓAΛOY / MAYOY Zeus standing front, head to left, raising his right hand in benediction and holding scepter in his left. Rev. 'Rajadirajasa mahatasa Moasa' ('of Great King of Kings Maues' in Karoshti) Victory advancing to right, holding wreath in her right hand and palm frond in her left. HGC 12, 524. Senior 1.3T. Well centered and beautifully toned. Struck from slightly worn dies and with some deposits on the obverse, otherwise, good very fine.
